Hello there :)

Angela I'm Angela. I've been blogging on and off, but I've always been around. I like rambling about anything that strikes my fancy, be it personal endeavors, geeky pursuits, books I'm reading, writing attempts, occasional travel, and the games I play.

One year free website uptime monitoring at Pingdom

I just got the news from AJ that Pingdom is offering Firefox users one year of free monitoring service. The offer is valid until only tomorrow, so hurry and sign up (with a Firefox browser, of course!)

Features include:

  • Notifications via SMS and e-mail
  • Uptime and response time reports
  • Multiple global check locations
  • High check resolution
  • Several check types
  • No installation needed

With the free account, I could sign up for five checks — meaning, I could get five URLs checked for downtime. Additional checks cost $0.50 a month, which isn’t bad. Of course, I’ve only just signed up, so I don’t know how good the reports actually are — but from the looks of it, it does look pretty useful.
